Pork Marinade

Banh Mi Assembly

Method

Pork Marinade Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Marinade

In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, fish sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, lemon juice, and black pepper. Stir well until the sugar is dissolved.

  2. 2

    Marinate the Pork

Add the pork tenderloin to the marinade, ensuring it is well-coated. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.

Grilling the Pork

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat.

  2. 4

    Grill the Pork

Remove the pork from the marinade and discard the marinade. Grill the pork for about 6-8 minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 145°F (63°C). Remove from the grill and let it rest for 5 minutes before slicing.

Banh Mi Assembly

  1. 5

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the pork is grilling, prepare the vegetables. Thinly slice the cucumber, julienne the carrot and daikon radish, and set aside.

  2. 6

    Assemble the Banh Mi

Slice the baguette lengthwise, leaving one side attached. Layer the sliced grilled pork, cucumber, carrot, daikon, cilantro, and mint inside the baguette. Drizzle with sriracha sauce to taste.

  3. 7

    Serve

Cut the assembled banh mi into manageable portions and serve immediately.
