Method
Preparation of Panna Cotta

Bloom the Gelatin
In a small bowl, combine the gelatin powder and water. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it blooms.

Heat the Cream Mixture
In a saucepan, combine the heavy cream, whole milk, and granulated sugar. Heat over medium heat until the sugar dissolves and the mixture is warm, but not boiling.

Add Gelatin
Remove the saucepan from heat and stir in the bloomed gelatin and vanilla extract until fully dissolved.

Pour and Chill
Pour the mixture into individual serving cups or molds. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or until set.

Once the panna cotta is set, add your choice of seasonal toppings such as fresh berries, caramel sauce, chocolate shavings, or mint leaves.
