Seafood Chimichanga Ingredients

Method

Cooking Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Filling

In a skillet over medium heat, combine shrimp, mahi-mahi, minced garlic, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Cook until the seafood is opaque and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.

  2. 2

    Make the Creamy Sauce

In a bowl, mix together cream cheese, sour cream, lime juice, and chopped cilantro. Stir until smooth and well combined.

  3. 3

    Combine Filling and Sauce

Once the seafood filling has cooled, mix it with the creamy sauce until well combined.

  4. 4

    Assemble the Chimichangas

Lay out a flour tortilla and place a generous amount of the filling mixture in the center. Fold the sides over and roll tightly to enclose the filling.

  5. 5

    Fry the Chimichangas

In a deep skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat. Fry each chimichanga until golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Drain on paper towels.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve hot with extra lime wedges and cilantro on the side.
