Gather all the ingredients and chop the onion and bell pepper.

In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and bell pepper, and sauté until softened, about 5 minutes.

Stir in the minced garlic and cook for an additional minute, then add the ground beef. Cook until browned and cooked through, about 7-10 minutes.

Drain any excess fat from the skillet, then stir in the canned diced tomatoes and taco seasoning. Add salt and black pepper to taste.
