Fried Pork Potstickers

Method

Preparation and Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare Filling

In a large bowl, combine ground pork, minced garlic, grated ginger, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, salt, and pepper. Mix well until all ingredients are thoroughly combined.

  2. 2

    Fill Wrappers

Take a potsticker wrapper and place about 1 tablespoon of the pork mixture in the center. Moisten the edges of the wrapper with a little water, fold it in half, and press to seal. Make pleats along the edge for a decorative touch if desired. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.

  3. 3

    Cook Potstickers

In a large skillet, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat. Once hot, add the potstickers in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for about 2-3 minutes until the bottoms are golden brown.

  4. 4

    Steam Potstickers

Add water to the skillet and cover immediately with a lid. Allow the potstickers to steam for about 5-7 minutes until the water has evaporated and the potstickers are cooked through.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove the lid and let the potstickers cook for an additional minute to crisp up the bottoms. Transfer to a serving platter and serve hot with soy sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
