Prepare the Sauce
In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, minced ginger, minced garlic, cornstarch, and water until well combined. Set aside.

Cook the Beef
Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Add the sliced beef and season with salt and black pepper. Stir-fry for 3-4 minutes until browned and just cooked through. Remove beef from the skillet and set aside.

Cook the Broccoli
In the same skillet, add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 2-3 minutes until bright green and slightly tender. You can add a splash of water to help steam the broccoli if needed.

Combine Ingredients
Return the cooked beef to the skillet with the broccoli. Pour the prepared sauce over the mixture and stir well to combine. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens and everything is heated through.

Finish and Serve
Drizzle sesame oil over the stir-fry, give it a final stir, and serve hot over rice or noodles.
