Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Filling
In a mixing bowl, combine the lump crab meat, cream cheese, chopped green onions, garlic powder, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and black pepper. Mix gently until well combined, being careful not to break up the crab meat too much.
- 2
Assemble the Wontons
Place a wonton wrapper on a clean surface. Spoon about 1 tablespoon of the crab filling into the center of the wrapper. Moisten the edges with water, fold the wrapper over to create a triangle, and press the edges to seal. You can also fold the corners in towards the center to create a more traditional shape.
- 3
Fry the Wontons
Heat vegetable oil in a deep frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the filled wontons in batches, frying until they are golden brown and crispy, about 3-4 minutes per side. Remove and drain on paper towels.
- 4
Serve
Serve the crab rangoon warm with sweet and sour sauce or your favorite dipping sauce.
