Salad Base

Steak and Vegetables

Method

Preparing the Salad Base

  1. 1

    Chop the Lettuce

Wash and chop the romaine lettuce into bite-sized pieces and place it in a large salad bowl.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Tomato

Dice the large tomato and add it to the salad bowl with the chopped lettuce.

Cooking the Steak and Vegetables

  1. 3

    Cook the Ribeye Steak

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Season the ribeye steak with salt and pepper. Cook for 4-5 minutes on each side for medium rare, or until desired doneness. Remove from heat and let it rest for a few minutes.

  2. 4

    Slice the Steak

Once rested, slice the ribeye steak into thin strips against the grain.

  3. 5

    Sauté the Vegetables

In the same skillet, add a little oil if necessary and sauté the sliced onion, green bell pepper, and red bell pepper over medium heat until softened and slightly caramelized, about 5-7 minutes.

Assembling the Salad

  1. 6

    Combine Ingredients

In the salad bowl with the lettuce and tomatoes, add the sliced steak and sautéed vegetables.

  2. 7

    Add Toppings

Pour the queso cheese sauce over the salad and drizzle ranch dressing on top.

  3. 8

    Toss and Serve

Gently toss the salad to combine all ingredients. Serve immediately.
