1. Wash the Broccoli
Rinse the head of broccoli under cold water to remove any dirt or pesticides.
2. Cut the Broccoli
Using a sharp knife, cut the broccoli into florets, keeping the stems intact as much as possible.
3. Mince the Garlic
Peel and finely mince the garlic cloves.

4. Heat the Olive Oil
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers.
5. Sauté the Garlic
Add the minced garlic to the skillet and sauté for about 1 minute, until fragrant but not browned.
6. Add the Broccoli
Add the broccoli florets to the skillet. Toss them with the garlic and olive oil to coat evenly.
7. Season the Broccoli
Sprinkle salt and black pepper over the broccoli, and continue to sauté for 5-7 minutes, until the broccoli is tender but still bright green.
8. Add Lemon Juice
Remove the skillet from the heat and drizzle lemon juice over the sautéed broccoli. Toss to combine.
