Preparation of Ingredients

  1. 1

    Prepare the Vegetables

Wash the lettuce leaf thoroughly and set aside. Slice the tomato into thick rounds and set aside. Peel the red onion and slice it into thin rings.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Mushrooms

Clean the button mushrooms with a damp cloth and slice them into thick pieces.

Cooking the Burger

  1. 3

    Cook the Ground Beef

In a skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. Cook until browned, about 5-7 minutes, breaking it apart with a spatula.

  2. 4

    Add Mushrooms

Once the beef is cooked, add the sliced mushrooms to the skillet and cook until they are tender, about 5-6 minutes.

  3. 5

    Melt the Swiss Cheese

Place a slice of Swiss cheese on top of the beef and mushroom mixture. Cover the skillet with a lid and let it melt for about 2-3 minutes.

Assembling the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the cheese is melting, toast the burger buns on another skillet or in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 7

    Build the Burger

Spread mayonnaise and ketchup on the bottom half of each toasted bun. Place the beef and mushroom mixture with melted cheese on top. Add lettuce, tomato slices, and onion rings. Top with the other half of the bun.
