Blackened Shrimp

Prepare the spice mix
In a small bowl, combine paprika, cayenne pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, dried oregano, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

Season the shrimp
Pat the baby shrimp dry with paper towels. In a large bowl, toss the shrimp with the spice mix until evenly coated.

Spicy Slaw

Combine the slaw ingredients
In a large bowl, mix together the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, minced jalapeño, and chopped cilantro.

Make the dressing
In a separate small bowl, whisk together lime juice, mayonnaise, salt, and black pepper.

Toss the slaw
Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss until everything is well coated. Allow to sit for 10 minutes for the flavors to meld.

Warm the tortillas
Heat the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds on each side until warm.

Assemble the tacos
Place a generous spoonful of blackened shrimp onto each tortilla. Top with spicy slaw and a few slices of avocado.

Serve the tacos with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top.
