Method

Prepare the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 4 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

    Steep the Tea

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add 4 tablespoons of Thai tea leaves. Let the tea steep for about 10 minutes.

  3. 3

    Strain the Tea

After steeping, strain the tea leaves using a fine mesh strainer into a heatproof pitcher. Discard the used tea leaves.

  4. 4

    Sweeten the Tea

Add 4 tablespoons of sugar to the strained tea while it is still warm. Stir until the sugar is completely dissolved.

  5. 5

    Cool the Tea

Allow the sweetened tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate it until chilled.

Assemble the Drink

  1. 6

    Prepare the Glass

In a tall glass, add 1 cup of ice cubes to fill it halfway.

  2. 7

    Pour the Tea

Once the tea is chilled, pour the sweetened tea over the ice until the glass is about three-quarters full.

  3. 8

    Add Cream

In a small bowl, mix 1 cup of evaporated milk with 1 tablespoon of sweetened condensed milk, stirring until well combined.

  4. 9

    Finish the Drink

Pour the creamy milk mixture over the iced tea. Stir gently to combine, and serve immediately.
