Beef and Marinade

Sauce and Rice

Method

Marinating the Beef

  1. 1

    Prepare Marinade

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, olive oil, minced garlic, black pepper, and salt to taste.

  2. 2

    Marinate Beef

Place the beef sirloin steak into the marinade and let it sit for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours for deeper flavor.

Cooking

  1. 3

    Cook Rice

In a pot, cook the white rice according to package instructions. Typically, combine rice with 2 cups of water, bring to a boil, then simmer until water is absorbed.

  2. 4

    Grill the Vegetables

In a skillet over medium heat, add a little olive oil. Sauté the sliced onions, green bell peppers, and mushrooms until they are tender, about 5-7 minutes.

  3. 5

    Cook the Steak

In a separate skillet, heat a bit of oil over high heat. Remove the steak from the marinade, shaking off excess, and grill for about 3-4 minutes per side for medium-rare, or until desired doneness.

  4. 6

    Combine with Sauce

Once the steak is cooked, remove it from the skillet and let it rest for a couple of minutes. Slice it against the grain and return it to the skillet, adding the black pepper sauce. Stir to coat the meat.

  5. 7

    Serve

On a hot plate, serve the sliced steak topped with grilled vegetables and green onions, alongside a portion of white rice.
