Melt Chocolate and Butter
In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until completely melted and smooth.
- 3
Mix Ingredients
In a separate bowl, whisk together the granulated sugar, eggs, egg yolk, vanilla extract, and salt until well combined. Gradually add the melted chocolate mixture, stirring until fully incorporated.
- 4
Add Flour
Sift the all-purpose flour over the chocolate mixture and gently fold it in until just combined.
- 5
Fill Ramekins
Divide the batter evenly among the prepared ramekins, filling each about 3/4 full.
- 6
Bake
Place the ramekins on a baking sheet and bake in the preheated oven for 12-14 minutes, or until the edges are firm but the center is still soft.
- 7
Serve
Remove from the oven and let sit for 1 minute. Carefully invert each ramekin onto a plate, allowing the cake to release. Serve warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top.
