Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Corned Beef

In a slow cooker, place the corned beef with enough water to cover it. Cook on low for 8 hours or until the beef is tender.

  2. 2

    Shred the Corned Beef

Once cooked, remove the corned beef from the slow cooker, shred it using two forks, and set aside.

  3. 3

    Prep the Sandwiches

Spread butter on one side of each slice of marble rye bread. On the unbuttered side, layer shredded corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and a generous amount of thousand island dressing.

  4. 4

    Grill the Sandwiches

Heat a skillet over medium heat. Place the sandwiches buttered side down in the skillet. Grill for about 3-4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and the cheese is melted.

  5. 5

    Serve

Remove from the skillet, slice in half, and serve warm with additional thousand island dressing on the side.
