Pork Shoulder Marinade
Method
Marination and Cooking
- 1
Prepare the Marinade
In a large bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, brown sugar, paprika, cumin, salt, and black pepper. Mix well to create a marinade.
- 2
Marinate the Pork
Add the pork shoulder to the marinade, ensuring it's well coated. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, preferably overnight.
- 3
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
- 4
Prepare for Baking
Place the marinated pork shoulder in a roasting pan. Mix apple cider vinegar and water, then pour this mixture into the bottom of the roasting pan.
- 5
Cook the Pork Shoulder
Cover the roasting pan with aluminum foil and bake for about 4 hours, or until the meat is tender and easily shreds with a fork.
- 6
Finishing Touches
Remove the foil in the last 30 minutes of cooking to allow the pork to brown slightly. Let it rest for 15 minutes before shredding.
