Cooking Instructions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef with salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until well combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to help it cook evenly.

  3. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  4. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes for medium-rare, or longer for desired doneness. If adding cheese, place a slice on each patty during the last minute of cooking.

  5. 5

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly if desired. On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty, tomato slice, and any condiments. Top with the other half of the bun.

  6. 6

    Serve

Serve immediately with your favorite sides, such as fries or a salad.
