Method

Grilled Cheese Sandwich Preparation

  1. 1

    Butter the Bread

Spread butter evenly on one side of each slice of bread.

  2. 2

    Assemble the Sandwich

Place one slice of bread, butter side down, in a skillet. Top with 2 slices of cheddar cheese, then place the second slice of bread on top, butter side up.

  3. 3

    Grill the Sandwich

Heat the skillet over medium heat. Cook the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown. Carefully flip the sandwich and cook the other side for another 3-4 minutes until the cheese is melted and the bread is golden brown.

  4. 4

    Slice and Serve

Remove the sandwich from the skillet, let it cool for a minute, then slice it in half and serve hot.

Fries Preparation

  1. 5

    Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and peel the potatoes. Cut them into thin strips to form fries.

  2. 6

    Heat the Oil

In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

  3. 7

    Fry the Potatoes

Carefully add the potato strips to the hot oil in batches to avoid overcrowding. Fry for about 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.

  4. 8

    Drain and Season

Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Sprinkle salt over the fries while they are still hot.
