Method
For the Chicken Tenders
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Slice the chicken breasts into strips, approximately 1 inch wide.
- 2
Set Up Breading Station
In three separate shallow dishes, place flour in the first, beaten eggs in the second, and breadcrumbs mixed with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and paprika in the third.
- 3
Bread the Chicken
Dip each chicken strip first into the flour, coating evenly. Then, dip into the egg, allowing excess to drip off, and finally coat with the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently to adhere.
- 4
Heat the Oil
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).
- 5
Fry the Chicken
Carefully add the breaded chicken strips to the hot oil in batches, ensuring not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 5-7 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through, flipping halfway.
- 6
Drain and Keep Warm
Remove the chicken tenders from the oil and drain on paper towels. Keep warm in a low oven while frying the remaining batches.
For the Fries
- 7
Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the potatoes and cut them into thin strips (about 1/4 inch thick) to resemble French fries.
- 8
- 9
Heat the Oil for Fries
In another large skillet or deep fryer, heat oil to 350°F (175°C).
- 10
Fry the Fries
Carefully add the dried potato strips to the hot oil in batches. Fry for 4-5 minutes or until golden and crispy, then remove and drain on paper towels.
- 11
Season and Serve
Sprinkle fries with salt while they're still hot. Serve alongside the crispy chicken tenders.
