Pommes Purée Directions
1. Prepare the Potatoes
Peel the Yukon Gold potatoes and cut them into evenly sized chunks.
2. Cook the Potatoes
Place the potato chunks in a large pot of salted water. Bring to a boil and cook until fork-tender, about 15-20 minutes.
3. Prepare the Garlic Butter
In a small saucepan, melt the unsalted butter over low heat. Add the whole garlic cloves and cook gently until fragrant and lightly golden, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
4. Mash the Potatoes
Drain the cooked potatoes and return them to the pot. Add the garlic butter (including the garlic cloves) and heavy cream. Mash until smooth and creamy.
5. Season the Purée
Finely chop the chives and fold them into the potato mixture. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
6. Serve
Transfer the pommes purée to a serving dish and garnish with additional chives if desired. Enjoy!
