Fresh Cut Fries

Prepare the Potatoes
Wash and peel the Idaho potatoes. Cut them into long strips, about 1/4 inch thick.

Heat the Oil
In a large pot or deep fryer, heat the vegetable oil to 350°F (175°C).

Fry the Potatoes
Remove the potatoes from the water and pat them dry with a clean towel. Carefully add them to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown and crispy, about 5-7 minutes.

Drain and Season
Use a slotted spoon to remove the fries from the oil and place them on paper towels to drain excess oil. Immediately season with salt, paprika, and garlic powder to taste.

Serve hot and enjoy with your favorite dipping sauce!
