Method

Brew the Tea

  1. 1

    Boil the Water

In a large pot, bring 16 cups of water to a rolling boil over high heat.

  2. 2

Once the water is boiling, remove it from heat and add the 8 black tea bags. Allow them to steep for 10-15 minutes, depending on your desired strength.

  3. 3

    Remove Tea Bags

After steeping, carefully remove the tea bags from the pot and discard them.

Sweeten the Tea

  1. 4

    Add Sweetener

If desired, stir in 1 cup of granulated sugar or 0.5 cup of honey while the tea is still warm. Stir until fully dissolved.

Add Flavoring (optional)

  1. 5

    Incorporate Flavor

For added flavor, mix in 0.5 cup of lemon juice and/or 1 cup of fresh mint leaves. Stir gently to combine.

Chill and Serve

    Cool the Tea

Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for at least 2 hours or until chilled.

  2. 7

    Serve

Serve the tea over ice in glasses. Garnish with additional mint leaves or lemon slices if desired.
