Burger Directions
1. Prepare the Beef Patties
In a large bowl, combine ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
2. Form the Patties
Divide the beef mixture into four equal portions and shape them into patties, about 3/4 inch thick.
3. Cook the Patties
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.
4. Add Cheese
In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty and cover to melt the cheese.
5. Assemble the Burgers
Place a cooked patty on the bottom half of each burger bun. Top with lettuce, tomato, and pickles, then cover with the top half of the bun.
Fries Directions
6. Prepare the Fries
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to 350°F (175°C).
7. Fry the French Fries
Carefully add the frozen French fries to the hot oil in batches, and fry according to package directions until golden and crispy.
8. Season the Fries
Remove the fries from the oil and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste while still hot.
