Method

Hummus Preparation

    Prepare Chickpeas

    Drain and rinse the canned chickpeas under cold water.

    Blend Ingredients

    In a food processor, combine the chickpeas, tahini, lemon juice, crushed garlic, olive oil, ground cumin, salt, and water. Blend until smooth.

    Adjust Consistency

    If the hummus is too thick, add more water, one tablespoon at a time, until the desired consistency is reached.

    Serve

    Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and drizzle with a little olive oil if desired.

Tzatziki Preparation

    Prepare Cucumber

    Grate the cucumber and squeeze out excess moisture using a clean kitchen towel or cheesecloth.

    Mix Ingredients

    In a bowl, combine the Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, crushed garlic, fresh dill, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed.

    Chill

    Cover and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow flavors to meld.

    Serve

    Transfer the tzatziki to a serving bowl and serve chilled.

    On a large serving platter, arrange the hummus and tzatziki in separate bowls.
