Burger Patties

Burger Assembly

Preparation

Preparing the Patties

1. Mix the Ingredients

In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix gently until just combined.

2. Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick. Make a slight indentation in the center of each patty to prevent puffing during cooking.

Cooking the Patties

3. Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat or heat a skillet over medium-high heat on the stove.

4. Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 3-4 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C).

5. Add Cheese

During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty and cover to melt.

Assembling the Burger

6. Prepare the Buns

While the patties are cooking, slice the burger buns in half and toast them lightly on the grill or in a toaster.

7. Assemble the Burger

Spread ketchup and mustard on the bottom half of each bun. Place the cooked patty with melted cheese, followed by lettuce, tomato slices, and pickles. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serving

8. Serve Immediately

Serve the burgers immediately while hot and enjoy with your favorite sides.
