Main Ingredients

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Cook the Bacon

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the Petit Jean bacon slices until they are crispy, about 5-7 minutes. Turn occasionally to ensure even cooking. Once cooked, transfer the bacon to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess grease.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Vegetables

While the bacon is cooking, wash the butter leaf lettuce thoroughly and pat it dry. Slice the tomato into thin rounds, and cut the red onion into thin slices. Set the vegetables aside.

  3. 3

    Slice the Cheese

Cut the sharp cheddar cheese into slices or cubes, depending on your preference for assembly.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Sandwich

On a clean surface or plate, lay out the butter leaf lettuce as the base. Layer the crispy bacon slices on top of the lettuce, followed by the sliced sharp cheddar cheese. Add the tomato slices, dill pickle slices, and red onion slices on top of the cheese.

  2. 5

    Add Mayonnaise

Spread mayonnaise evenly over the top of the sandwich ingredients. You can adjust the quantity of mayonnaise according to your taste.

  3. 6

    Final Touch

Close the sandwich with another layer of butter leaf lettuce or serve open-faced. Cut into halves or quarters for easier handling and serve immediately.
