Burger Patty

Burger Assembly

Method

Prepare the Burger Patty

  1. 1

    Mix the Ingredients

In a mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Use your hands to mix the ingredients until just combined. Be careful not to overwork the meat.

  2. 2

    Form the Patties

Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into round patties about ¾ inch thick. Make a small indentation in the center of each patty to help them cook evenly.

Cook the Burger Patties

  1. 3

    Preheat the Grill or Skillet

Preheat your grill or a skillet over medium-high heat. If using a skillet, add a little oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 4

    Cook the Patties

Place the patties on the grill or skillet. Cook for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip them over.

  3. 5

    Add Cheese

After flipping, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for another 3-4 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the meat reaches your desired doneness.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 6

    Toast the Buns

While the patties are cooking, you can toast the burger buns on the grill or in the oven until they are golden brown.

  2. 7

    Layer the Ingredients

On the bottom bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickles, ketchup, and mustard to taste. Top with the other half of the bun.

Serve the Burger
