Method

Burger Preparation

1

Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine the Angus beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and orange zest. Mix until just combined.

2

Form the Patties

Divide the beef mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty.

3

Cook the Patties

Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until they reach your desired doneness.

4

Add Cheese

In the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheddar cheese on each patty to melt.

Chip Preparation

5

Prepare the Potatoes

Wash and slice the potatoes into thin rounds (about 1/8 inch thick).

6

Season the Chips

In a bowl, toss the potato slices with olive oil, salt, paprika, garlic powder, and black pepper until evenly coated.

7

Bake the Chips

Spread the potato slices in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake in a preheated oven at 425°F (220°C) for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway through, until crispy and golden.

Assemble the Burgers

8

Toast the Buns

Lightly toast the burger buns on a skillet or in the oven for added crispiness.

9

Build the Burger

On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked patty with melted cheese, and top with tomato slices. Place the top half of the bun on each burger.
