Method
Preparing the Burger Patty
Mix the Ingredients
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix until well combined.
Form the Patties
Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape each into a round patty, about 3/4 inch thick.
Cooking the Burger
Add Cheese
Flip the patties and immediately place one slice of American cheese and one slice of cheddar cheese on each patty. Cook for an additional 4-5 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burger is cooked to your liking.
Assembling the Burger
Prepare the Buns
While the patties are cooking, lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster.
Layer the Ingredients
On the bottom half of each toasted bun, place a lettuce leaf, followed by the cooked burger patty with melted cheese, tomato slices, pickle slices, and a generous drizzle of ketchup, mustard, and mayonnaise.
Complete the Burger
Top with the other half of the bun and serve hot.
