Burger Ingredients

Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Patties

In a bowl, combine the ground beef with salt and black pepper. Divide the mixture into two equal portions and shape them into patties, about 1/2 inch thick.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes. During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of American cheese on each patty to melt.

  3. 3

    Assemble the Burgers

Toast the burger buns lightly. On the bottom half of each bun, place a lettuce leaf, then stack the two cheese-topped patties on top. Add 2 tablespoons of tartar sauce on each patty and cover with the top half of the bun.

  4. 4

    Serve

Serve the burgers immediately with your choice of sides.
