Meatball Mixture

For Cooking

For Sauce (Optional)

Method

Meatball Preparation

  1. 1

    Mix Ingredients

In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, eggs, minced garlic, chopped onion, parsley, salt, black pepper, and nutmeg. Mix thoroughly until all ingredients are well incorporated.

  2. 2

    Shape the Meatballs

Using your hands, form the mixture into small balls, approximately 1 inch in diameter. You should yield around 170 meatballs.

Cooking the Meatballs

  1. 3

    Heat the Pan

In a large skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and butter. Allow them to heat until the butter is melted and starts to foam.

  2. 4

    Brown the Meatballs

Carefully place the meatballs in the skillet in a single layer. Cook for about 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until they are browned on all sides.

  3. 5

    Add Broth

Once the meatballs are browned, pour the beef broth into the skillet. Bring to a simmer and cover the skillet. Cook for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the meatballs are cooked through.

Optional Sauce Preparation

  1. 6

    Prepare the Sauce

In a separate saucepan, combine heavy cream, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, and mustard. Heat over medium-low heat, stirring until smooth and heated through.

  2. 7

    Serve with Sauce

Once the meatballs are cooked, you can serve them with the prepared sauce poured over the top.
