Seafood

Breading and Seasoning

For Frying (if frying)

For Baking (if baking)

Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare Seafood

Choose two types of seafood from the selection provided. If using fresh clams, ensure they are cleaned thoroughly and soaked in water for about 30 minutes to remove any sand.

  2. 2

    Mix Breading

In a shallow dish, combine the all-purpose flour, cornmeal, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.

  3. 3

    Prepare Egg Wash

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk until well combined.

Baking Method

  1. 4

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 5

    Coat Seafood

Dip each piece of seafood into the egg wash, then dredge in the breading mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  3. 6

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the breaded seafood on a greased baking sheet. Drizzle melted butter over the top.

  4. 7

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes, or until the seafood is cooked through and golden brown.

  5. 8

    Serve

Serve with lemon wedges on the side.

Frying Method

  1. 9

    Heat Oil

In a large, deep skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat until hot (about 350°F or 175°C).

  2. 10

    Coat Seafood

Dip each piece of seafood into the egg wash, then dredge in the breading mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.

  3. 11

    Fry Seafood

Carefully add the coated seafood to the hot oil in batches. Fry for about 3-4 minutes or until golden brown and cooked through.

  4. 12

    Drain

Remove the seafood from the oil and place on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

  5. 13

    Serve

Serve immediately with lemon wedges on the side.
