Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat Oven

Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).

  2. 2

    Prepare Scallops

Rinse the sea scallops under cold water and pat them dry with paper towels. This will ensure they are not watery when cooked.

  3. 3

    Season Scallops

In a bowl, combine the black pepper, salt, garlic powder, and paprika. Add the scallops and toss them gently to coat evenly with the seasoning.

  4. 4

    Wrap with Bacon

Cut the bacon slices in half. Take one seasoned scallop and wrap it with a half slice of bacon, securing it with a toothpick. Repeat this process for all scallops.

Cooking

  1. 5

    Arrange on Baking Sheet

Place the bacon-wrapped scallops on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, ensuring they are not touching each other.

  2. 6

    Bake

Bake in the preheated oven for about 15-20 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the scallops are cooked through. You can turn them halfway through for even cooking.

  3. 7

    Garnish and Serve

Once cooked, remove the scallops from the oven. Optionally, garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges on the side.
