Method

Omelet Preparation

  1. 1

    Whisk the Eggs

In a bowl, crack 2 eggs, add salt and black pepper. Whisk until well combined and slightly frothy.

  2. 2

    Heat the Pan

Place a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of butter. Allow it to melt and coat the bottom of the pan.

  3. 3

    Cook the Omelet

Pour the whisked eggs into the skillet. Let it cook undisturbed for about 1-2 minutes until the edges start to set.

  4. 4

    Add Cheese

Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese evenly over one half of the omelet. Allow it to melt for another minute.

  5. 5

    Fold and Serve

Carefully fold the omelet in half using a spatula. Slide it onto a plate and set aside.

Cooking the Protein

  1. 6

    Cook the Bacon

In a separate pan, cook 1 bacon strip over medium heat until crispy. Alternatively, you can cook 1 sausage link or 1 slice of ham in the same manner.

Preparing the Side

  1. 7

    Toast the Bread

Toast 1 slice of bread in a toaster until golden brown.

  2. 8

    Make Pan-Fries (if chosen)

If opting for pan-fries, peel and dice 1 medium potato. Heat a small amount of oil in a frying pan over medium heat, add the potatoes, and cook until golden and crispy, about 10-12 minutes.
