For the Chicken Skewers
Method
Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Chicken
Cut the boneless, skinless chicken breasts into 2-inch cubes and place them in a large mixing bowl.
- 2
Make the Marinade
In a separate bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, minced garlic, grated ginger, and sesame oil until the sugar is dissolved.
- 3
Marinate the Chicken
Pour the marinade over the chicken cubes and toss to coat evenly. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for better flavor.
Grilling
- 4
Soak Skewers (if using wooden skewers)
If you are using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning on the grill.
- 5
Preheat the Grill
Preheat your grill to medium-high heat (about 200°C or 400°F).
- 6
Assemble the Skewers
Thread the marinated chicken cubes onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
- 7
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Remove the skewers from the grill. Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
