Method

Brownie Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  2. 2

    Melt Butter and Mix Sugars

In a medium saucepan, melt 1 cup of unsalted butter over low heat. Remove from heat and stir in 2 cups of granulated sugar and 1 cup of brown sugar until well combined.

  3. 3

    Add Eggs and Vanilla

Allow the butter-sugar mixture to cool slightly, then add in 4 large eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in 2 tsp of vanilla extract.

  4. 4

    Combine Dry Ingredients

In a separate bowl, sift together 1 cup of all-purpose flour, 1 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder, and 1 tsp of salt.

  5. 5

    Mix Dry and Wet Ingredients

Gradually add the dry ingredients to the butter-egg mixture, stirring until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  6. 6

    Add Chocolate Chips

Fold in 1 cup of chocolate chips until evenly distributed.

  7. 7

    Bake the Brownies

Pour the brownie batter into the prepared baking dish and smooth the top. Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.

  8. 8

    Cool and Cut

Allow the brownies to cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Once cooled, cut into squares.

Assembly of Sundaes

  1. 9

    Prepare the Sundae Base

Place one brownie square in a serving bowl or dish as the base for your sundae.

  2. 10

    Add Ice Cream

Top the brownie with 1 scoop of vanilla ice cream.

  3. 11

    Drizzle with Chocolate Syrup

Generously drizzle 1/4 cup of chocolate syrup over the ice cream.

  4. 12

    Add Whipped Cream

Spoon 1/4 cup of whipped cream on top of the chocolate syrup.

  5. 13

    Sprinkle with Nuts

Sprinkle 1/4 cup of chopped nuts over the whipped cream.

  6. 14

    Finish with a Cherry

Top the sundae with a maraschino cherry for a classic touch.

  7. 15

    Repeat for More Servings

Repeat the assembly process for additional servings.
