Prepare Bolognese Sauce
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onion, garlic, carrot, and celery, and sauté until softened.

Add ground beef and pork to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon.

Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato paste, basil, oregano, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Make Garlic Cream Sauce
In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream over medium heat, then add minced garlic. Simmer for 5 minutes and set aside.

Prepare Ricotta Mixture
In a bowl, combine ricotta cheese, egg, and half of the chopped basil. Mix well.

Assemble Lasagna
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread a layer of Bolognese sauce in the bottom of a 9x13 inch baking dish.

Layer noodles, ricotta mixture, Bolognese sauce, garlic cream sauce, and mozzarella. Repeat layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with mozzarella and Parmesan on top.

Serve
Let the lasagna sit for 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with remaining fresh basil and serve hot.
