Preparation of Salad Base

Prepare the Lettuce
Remove the outer leaves of the iceberg lettuce and rinse the head under cold water. Pat dry with paper towels. Cut the head of lettuce into quarters to create wedges.

Prepare the Croutons
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cut the bread slices into cubes. In a bowl, toss the bread cubes with olive oil, garlic powder, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated. Spread the cubes on a baking sheet and bake for about 10-12 minutes or until golden brown, tossing halfway through.

Assemble the Wedge Salad
On a serving plate, place a wedge of iceberg lettuce. Top with crumbled bacon, bleu cheese, diced tomatoes, and sliced red onion. Add a handful of homemade croutons on top. Drizzle ranch dressing over the salad to taste.
