Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Cut the beef sirloin or chicken breast into 1-inch cubes. Chop the bell peppers and onion into similar 1-inch pieces. If using fresh pineapple, cut it into 1-inch chunks. If using canned pineapple, drain it well.

  2. 2

Soak the Skewers (if using wooden skewers)

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning during grilling.

Marinating

  1. 3

    Marinate the Meat

In a bowl, combine the cubed beef or chicken with the Beacon Hills teriyaki sauce. Allow it to marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator for enhanced flavor.

Assembly

  1. 4

    Assemble the Skewers

Thread the marinated meat, bell peppers, onions, and pineapple onto the skewers, alternating each ingredient. Leave a little space between each piece for even cooking.

Grilling

  1. 5

    Preheat the Grill

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Brush the grill grate with olive oil to prevent sticking.

  2. 6

    Grill the Skewers

Place the skewers on the grill and cook for 10-15 minutes, turning occasionally, until the meat is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

  3. 7

    Check for Doneness

Ensure the internal temperature of the chicken reaches 165°F (75°C) or beef reaches 145°F (63°C).

Serving

  1. 8

    Serve

Remove the skewers from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes. Serve warm, drizzled with extra teriyaki sauce if desired.
