Method
Preparing the Burger Patties
- 1
Form the Patties
In a mixing bowl, take the ground beef and season with salt and pepper to taste. Divide the beef into two equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, making a slight indentation in the center to prevent puffing during cooking.
- 2
Cook the Patties
Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 4-5 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes or until they reach your desired doneness. Place a slice of American cheese on each patty during the last minute of cooking, covering the skillet to help the cheese melt.

Toast the Buns
Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until golden brown.
- 6
Layer the Ingredients
On the bottom half of each bun, spread 1 tablespoon of mayonnaise. Place the cooked burger patty with melted cheese on top, followed by two strips of crispy bacon, a leaf of lettuce, a slice of tomato, and finally, the sunny-side-up egg.

Finish the Burger
Top with the other half of the bun and press down gently. Serve immediately.
