Chicken Tenders
JAMMIN BBQ Sauce
Method
Preparing Chicken Tenders
- 1
Bread the Chicken
Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes. In the first dish, place the flour. In the second dish, beat the egg. In the third dish, combine panko breadcrumbs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder.
- 2
Coat the Chicken
Take each chicken breast strip and dip it first into the flour, shaking off the excess. Next, dip it into the beaten egg, ensuring it is fully coated. Finally, roll the chicken strip in the panko breadcrumb mixture until fully coated. Place the breaded chicken strips on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
Baking the Tenders
- 3
Bake the Chicken Tenders
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the coating is golden brown. Flip the tenders halfway through for even browning.
Making the JAMMIN BBQ Sauce
- 4
Combine Ingredients
In a medium saucepan, combine ketchup, apple cider vinegar, brown sugar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
- 5
Simmer the Sauce
Heat the saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally. Bring to a gentle simmer and allow to cook for about 10-15 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat and set aside.
Serving
- 6
Serve the Chicken Tenders
Once the chicken tenders are done baking, remove them from the oven. Serve hot with the JAMMIN BBQ sauce on the side for dipping.
