Preparation of Wings
- 1
Marinate the Wings
In a large bowl, combine the chicken wings with olive oil, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, paprika, smoked paprika, and chili powder. Toss the wings until they are evenly coated with the spice mixture. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour, or preferably overnight for maximum flavor.
Smoking the Wings

Smoke the Wings
Once the smoker is preheated, place the marinated chicken wings on the grate in a single layer. Close the smoker and smoke the wings for about 1.5 to 2 hours, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and have a nice smoky flavor.
Making the Sauce
- 4
Prepare the Sauce
In a small saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Once melted, stir in the hot sauce, honey, and apple cider vinegar. Mix well and bring the sauce to a simmer. Cook for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until slightly thickened.
Serving

Combine and Serve
Once the wings are done smoking, remove them from the smoker and toss them in the prepared sauce until well coated. Serve immediately with your choice of dipping sauce and enjoy!
