Cheese Curds

Method

Cheese Curds

1

Prepare the Cheese Curds

In a large bowl, mix the all-purpose flour, cornstarch, salt, and black pepper.

2

Set Up Breading Station

In another bowl, whisk together the eggs and milk. In a third bowl, place the breadcrumbs.

3

Bread the Cheese Curds

Dip each cheese curd first into the flour mixture, then the egg mixture, and finally coat with breadcrumbs.

4

Heat the Oil

In a deep frying pan, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 350°F (175°C).

5

Fry the Cheese Curds

Carefully add the breaded cheese curds to the hot oil in batches, frying until golden brown (about 2-3 minutes).

6

Drain and Serve

Remove the fried cheese curds and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.

Marinara Sauce

7

Sauté Garlic

In a saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and sauté for about 1 minute until fragrant.

8

Add Tomatoes and Season

Stir in the crushed tomatoes, dried oregano, salt, black pepper, and sugar. Bring the sauce to a simmer.

9

Simmer the Sauce

Let the sauce simmer for about 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until it thickens slightly.

10

Finish the Sauce

Add the chopped fresh basil to the sauce just before serving.
