Method

Preparation

  1. 1

    Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 150°C (300°F) to prepare for slow-cooking the ribs.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ribs

Remove the membrane from the back of the pork ribs for better seasoning and tenderness.

  3. 3

    Season the Ribs

In a bowl, mix the salt, black pepper, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and brown sugar. Rub this mixture all over the ribs, ensuring an even coat.

Cooking

  1. 4

    Bake the Ribs

Place the seasoned ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover with another sheet of foil and bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours, or until the ribs are tender.

  2. 5

    Glaze with BBQ Sauce

Remove the ribs from the oven, uncover, and brush the BBQ sauce generously over the ribs. Return the ribs to the oven and increase the temperature to 200°C (400°F).

  3. 6

    Finish Cooking

Bake the ribs uncovered for an additional 20-30 minutes, basting with more BBQ sauce halfway through, until the sauce is caramelized and sticky.

Serving

  1. 7

    Slice and Serve

Remove the ribs from the oven and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with additional BBQ sauce on the side.
