Preparation
- 1
Prepare the Ribs
Preheat your oven to 135°C (275°F). Remove the membrane from the back of the beef ribs for better flavor absorption.
- 2
Make the Dry Rub
In a bowl, combine the brown sugar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and black pepper. Mix well until the ingredients are evenly distributed.
- 3
Apply the Rub
Generously rub the dry mixture all over the ribs, ensuring to cover all sides. Let the ribs sit at room temperature for 30 minutes to absorb the flavors.
Cooking
- 4
Bake the Ribs
Place the ribs on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil. Cover the ribs with another sheet of foil to keep them moist. Bake in the preheated oven for 2.5 to 3 hours.
- 5
Prepare the Sauce
While the ribs are baking, mix the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and honey in a saucepan over medium heat. Stir until combined and let it simmer for 10 minutes.
- 6
- 7
Finish in the Oven
Return the ribs to the oven uncovered and bake for an additional 30 minutes at 175°C (350°F) to caramelize the sauce.
Serving
- 8
Slice and Serve
Once the ribs are done, remove them from the oven and let them rest for 10 minutes. Slice between the bones and serve with extra barbecue sauce on the side.
