Method
Preparing the Potato Wedges
- 1
Preheat the Oven
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
- 2
Wash and Cut the Potatoes
Scrub the russet potatoes under running water to remove any dirt. Cut each potato into wedges by slicing it in half lengthwise, then cutting each half into 3-4 wedges.
- 3
Season the Potatoes
In a large bowl, toss the potato wedges with olive oil, salt, black pepper, and paprika until evenly coated.
- 4
Arrange on a Baking Sheet
Spread the seasoned potato wedges on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- 5
Bake the Wedges
Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the wedges are golden brown and crispy. Flip halfway through for even cooking.
Adding the Toppings
- 6
Add Cheese and Bacon
Once the wedges are done baking, remove them from the oven and sprinkle the cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon evenly over the hot wedges.
- 7
Return to the Oven
Place the baking sheet back in the oven for an additional 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- 8
Garnish and Serve
Remove from the oven and top with sour cream, chopped green onions, and sliced jalapeños. Serve immediately.
