Method

Burger Preparation

  1. 1

    Form the Patties

Divide the ground beef into two equal portions and shape each portion into a quarter-pound patty. Press in the center to create a slight indentation, which helps them cook evenly.

  2. 2

    Cook the Patties

Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip them and cook for another 3-4 minutes for medium doneness. If adding cheese, place it on the patties during the last minute of cooking to allow it to melt.

Assemble the Burger

  1. 3

    Prepare the Buns

Toast the burger buns on the grill or in a toaster until lightly golden.

  2. 4

    Add the Patties

Place one cooked patty on the bottom half of each toasted bun.

  3. 5

    Add Toppings

Layer the desired toppings on top of the patties. Start with jalapenos, bacon, lettuce, tomato, onion, and pickles.

  4. 6

    Top with Egg

If using, fry the egg in the skillet for about 2-3 minutes until the whites are set and yolk is still runny or cooked to your preference. Place the egg on top of the assembled toppings.

  5. 7

    Finish the Burger

Place the top half of the bun on the assembled burger to complete.

Side Salad Preparation (Optional)

  1. 8

    Prepare the Salad

In a large bowl, combine mixed greens, halved cherry tomatoes, and sliced cucumber.

  2. 9

    Make the Dressing

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, vinegar, salt, and pepper.

  3. 10

    Toss the Salad

Drizzle the dressing over the salad and toss gently to combine.
