Method

Preparing Tortilla Chips

  1. 1

    Cut and Fry Tortillas

Stack the corn tortillas and cut them into quarters. Heat vegetable oil in a large frying pan over medium heat. Once the oil is hot, add tortilla pieces in batches and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes per batch. Remove with a slotted spoon and drain on paper towels. Season with salt to taste.

Preparing Brisket Topping

  1. 2

    Heat Brisket and BBQ Sauce

In a saucepan over medium heat, combine the smoked brisket and BBQ sauce. Stir to combine and heat through until the brisket is warmed, about 5-7 minutes. Remove from heat and set aside.

Assembling Nachos

  1. 3

    Layer Chips and Toppings

On a large baking sheet, spread a single layer of the fried tortilla chips. Evenly distribute the heated brisket and BBQ sauce mixture over the chips. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese generously on top, followed by jalapeños.

  2. 4

    Melt and Serve

Place the baking sheet under the broiler for 2-3 minutes or until the cheese is melted and bubbly. Remove from the oven, and top with dollops of sour cream and a sprinkle of fresh cilantro. Serve immediately.
