Brew fresh espresso and let it cool. Add coffee liqueur if using.

In a mixing bowl, combine mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Whip until smooth and fluffy.

Dip the Ladyfingers
Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the cooled espresso mixture, ensuring they are soaked but not soggy.

Assemble the Tiramisu
In a rectangular dish, layer half of the dipped ladyfingers. Spread half of the mascarpone cream over the ladyfingers. Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients.

Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight. Before serving, dust with cocoa powder.
