Chicken Katsu Ingredients

Method

Directions

  1. 1

    Prepare the Chicken

Pound the chicken breasts to an even thickness. Season with salt and black pepper.

  2. 2

    Breading the Chicken

Set up a breading station with three shallow dishes: one with flour, one with beaten eggs, and one with panko breadcrumbs. Dredge each chicken breast in flour, dip in eggs, and coat with panko.

  3. 3

    Fry the Chicken

Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Fry the chicken for about 4-5 minutes on each side, or until golden brown and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.

  4. 4

    Make the Long Hot Aioli

In a food processor, blend mayonnaise, long hot peppers, garlic, lemon juice, and salt until smooth. Adjust seasoning to taste.

  5. 5

    Sauté the Broccoli Rabe

In a separate pan, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute. Add broccoli rabe, salt, and sauté for 5-7 minutes until tender.

  6. 6

    Serve

Plate the Chicken Katsu with sautéed broccoli rabe and drizzle with long hot aioli.
